San Pedro Chapter derived its name from San Pedro, the first official county seat (c. 1830) in what is now Madison Co., FL. The county seat was later moved to the present location for Madison County.  The San Pedro area today is a picturesque, rural setting and includes and old church and cemetery. Prior to the first settlers coming into this area, the Franciscan missionaries established missions through Florida for the Indians, and one of these missions was named "San Pedro."

Our Motto:
 God, Home, and Country

Some of Our Objectives

To perpetuate the memory and spirit of the men and women who achieved American Independence, by the acquisition and protection of historical spots, and the erection of monuments; by the encouragement of historical research in relation to the Revolution and the publication of the results: by the preservation of documents and relics, and of the records of the individual services of Revolutionary soldiers and patriots; and by the promotion of celebrations of all patriotic anniversaries.
