The DAR Insignia is the property of, and is copyrighted by, the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.






 

Organized on April 16, 1977, by Ida Sylvester, the Chapter name, Old King's Highway, was chosen because this was the first passable highway from Jacksonville to New Smyrna, through Flagler County, from north to south. This highway opened up the entire east coast of the county to commerce, industry, and tourism.
